夜目遠目：よめとおめ [yo-me-too-me]

意味:Meaning

(女の人は)はっきり見定められないときのほうが美しく見えるということ。暗い夜とか遠い所からとか笠を着けていてはっきり見定められないときのほうが実際より美しく見える意。「夜目遠目笠の内」の略。

It means that it looks more beautiful when it can not be clearly seen.
